Some excitement for us last night – we had a visitor in our backyard. I heard screams from the girls so I rushed outside to the rescue, camera in hand. We think it’s a brown tree snake judging by the colour pattern, it’s long slender body and the fact that brown tree snakes are quite common in the top end. They’re venomous but not considered dangerous to humans. Mind you Australian snakes have such huge colour variations, even within the same species, so could be wrong. I’m no snake expert. The brown tree snake has a unique pattern that makes it easier to identify. We let him be since he wasn’t hurting anyone.

uh…. not a fan. don’t mind they exist.. just don’t want to see em in person. 🙂
Ha yeah they can be scarey, especially since sometimes they kill people. I’m trying to build a tolerance so one day I might be a fearless outback legend.
