Well it’s been a month already since we left oz and we’re well behind with processing photos and updating the blog. We’ve been flat out travelling, partying and doing tourist stuff. We flew into LA via Hawaii from Brisbane and stayed overnight at Sarah’s apartment in LA (thanks Sarah!). In the morning we enjoyed a huge American breakfast of bacon, eggs and fried potatoes at a local diner with Sarah then off to the airport to fly to Dallas where we met our friends from Perth Jay and Emily. We hung out together in Dallas for a few days, celebrated Jay’s birthday with a big night out on the town and went to Six Flags Over Texas amusement park. Jay and Emily were off to Mexico so gave us their car to use on our road trip through the USA. Thanks guys.

The keys to the Forester were handed over and we drove off to Houston to visit more friends from Perth who were coincidentally in Texas also – Daryn and Juliet. They are living and working in Houston for the next few months. We checked out some shops, went to Houston Downtown (not much there), had a guitar jamming session, went out for dinner for some greasy cheesy burgers and played ten pin bowling. Would have been nice to hang out longer but we had to drive across half the country in time for our flights to Jamaica. Was good to see you Daryn and Juliet, hope you’re back in oz soon!
