Far Down Under

What’s this ship-like ferry thing we’re driving into?

mounting the spirit of tasmania

If you are familiar with our previous posts from northwest WA you may confuse it for some sort of magical weather control device that transforms the weather from warm and sunny to cold and grey. Actually it’s a ferry called the Spirit of Tasmania!

That’s right, this summer we’ll be hanging out in tassie. Wait a sec, summer is finished, it’s already autumn. Damn this blog and it’s poor punctuality, it’s reporting a couple of months late!

This post covers a few pics around the Devonport region where we stayed for a couple of weeks. Sharni has family living in Spreyton, just south of Devonport. With a trout fishing license sorted and a carton of cascade draught loaded up, we were ready to explore the region with Spreyton as our base.
