Daly Waters is a unique little town between Tennant Creek and Katherine just a few kms off the main highway. It’s a unique bush town and well worth a stop. Bustling with grey nomads and a traffic light, if feels like you’ve hit civilization in the middle of no where. The pub offers a famous beef and barra dinner that is universally popular with the elders. We couldn’t resist so stayed for dinner – decent serving, delicious and reasonably priced. You get a large slab of barra and a good cut of scotch fillet cooked on the bbq, plus salad bar. There’s also some live entertainment on offer after dinner. Next time I visit I’ll have to try their steak sandwich. Apart from the pub there’s an old WWII airfield and jail to look at.
