Whilst we were in Disney World we booked a last minute 5 day cruise through the Bahamas leaving from Port Canaveral Florida. It wasn’t part of our original itinerary but we had never done a cruise before and it was so cheap we thought we’d give it a go.

After a few rough nights sleeping on the road and a hectic week of theme parks we were able to really appreciate a nice room and some relaxation around the various decks on the ship. The ship was huge with casinos, many different bars, theatres, comedy, dancing, waterpark, mini golf and gym. We know this is typical for large cruise ships but being our first it was rather a novelty.

We docked at two different islands in the Bahamas, Nassau and Freeport. We thought the islands were very touristy and overpriced, geared up for ripping off cruise tourists. We ended up having a few cocktails on the beach with some friends we made on the cruise.
