Wrecks of Cape York
Last Updated 02/11/2017
This exhibit is art at its highest calibre. Evocative, inspirational, provocative, deeply moving. It represents so many things. Man’s never ceasing yet doomed battle against mother nature. The fragility of life. Man’s relationship with technology. The inevitable return back into the earth of all things created. The cycle of life. All captured in the ever changing colours of the magnificent Australian outback.
People have lost their lives in the events that lead to some of these wrecks. Be respectful and remember how precious life is.
Join us as we explore Australia’s outback and capture some of its essence and history in this epic masterpiece.

Thanks Peter, good one dude. I’ll do a bit more research to confirm then update the page if it looks right.
No problem mate, love your blog by the way! I’ve recently purchased a 2003 single cab non turbo Hilux that the previous owner fitted with a canopy. I have been slowly reading and learning about 4x4ing so thanks for all the information you’ve provided, keep up the good work!
Nice one good luck with your build. I updated the page, thanks.
Hey Peter after a bit more googling I reckon the truck is a Bedford from the 1940s.
outback joe, i tend to agree that the truck is an early Bedford,
Thanks Des another vote for Bedford, that’s good, fairly sure we’re correct.
